   Mesoscale Discussion 1119
NWS Storm Prediction Center Norman OK
   0333 PM CDT Mon Jul 06 2020

Areas affected...eastern Pennsylvania and New Jersey southwestward
   into northern Virginia

   Concerning...Severe Thunderstorm Watch 333...

   Valid 062033Z - 062230Z

The severe weather threat for Severe Thunderstorm Watch 333
   continues.

SUMMARY...A severe wind and hail threat may eventually build
south/southwest into the Delmarva, Maryland and northern Virginia.

DISCUSSION...A large complex of storms has produce several reports
of severe wind gusts and hail over eastern PA and NJ. A large,
annular outflow boundary has developed around this complex, with the
greatest push south over southern NJ.

To the west, other isolated, slow-moving cells have formed over the
Blue Ridge, with localized outflow boundaries. In between here and
the complex over NJ, a very unstable air mass remains.

Visible imagery shows a line of towering CU across central MD into
southeast PA, and this may eventually be a corridor for new
development. In addition, the surging outflow boundary may initiate
new storms over much of MD and DE, with continued damaging wind or
   hail threat.
