   Concerning...Severe Thunderstorm Watch 439...

   The severe weather threat for Severe Thunderstorm Watch 439
   continues.

   SUMMARY...Squall line should continue weakening over the upper
   Mississippi Valley.

   DISCUSSION...Squall line that developed earlier this afternoon ahead
   of a strong short-wave trough has progressed into western
   WI-southeast MN-northeast IA. This line of storms has gradually
   weakened over the last few hours, primarily due to convection
   encountering increasingly more stable air. As the short wave lifts
   into western ON, large-scale forcing for maintaining this line will
   gradually lessen. Even so, east-southeast propagation should
   continue for the next few hours. Isolated damaging winds remain
   possible, though most wind speeds should be less than 50kt.
