The severe weather threat for Severe Thunderstorm Watch 517

SUMMARY...Wind/hail threat continue with storms this evening.

   DISCUSSION...Thunderstorms continue to develop/focus along a
corridor from south-central SD into north-central MN. Over the last
hour or so MRMS data suggests hail cores have gradually waned with
most storms producing less than 1 inch hail. However, instability
has yet to be overturned along this zone, and with the LLJ focused
into this region, it appears convection will likely continue well
into the early morning hours. Most robust convection should remain
confined to the instability axis. Marginally severe hail and locally
   severe wind gusts remain possible.
