   ...NO SEVERE THUNDERSTORM AREAS FORECAST...

   ...SUMMARY...
Scattered thunderstorms will be possible across much of the U.S.
this evening into tonight. Severe thunderstorms are not expected.

An upper-level trough will move eastward across the Great Lakes and
Ohio Valley this evening as an shortwave ridge moves across the
central Plains. At the surface, a trough will be in place in the
Atlantic Coastal States as a high pressure moves across the central
U.S. Scattered thunderstorms will continue this evening into tonight
across much of the western, southern and eastern U.S. However,
instability and deep-layer shear is not expected to be sufficient
for a severe threat this evening into tonight.
