   ...NO THUNDERSTORM AREAS FORECAST...

   ...SUMMARY...
Inland thunderstorms are not expected through tonight.

   ...Discussion...
As a mid-level short-wave trough continues crossing the Great
Lakes/Northeast tonight, an ongoing band of convection -- stretching
from the North Carolina Outer Banks north-northeastward across Cape
Cod and far eastern Maine -- will likewise continue shifting
   eastward with time.

No onshore lightning has been observed, with just a few flashes
indicated over the past hour over the Gulf Stream, well east of the
North Carolina coast. With the continued eastward progression of
this convection, and all guidance suggesting rapidly diminishing
lightning potential over the next 1 to 3 hours, the thunder areas
are being removed at this time.

   Elsewhere, thunderstorms are not expected.
