Occasional isolated thunderstorms remain possible along southeastern
Florida coastal areas this evening into tonight.
...DISCUSSION...
Water vapor imagery shows west-northwest mid-level flow over much of
the central and eastern United States. A shortwave trough is evident
over the eastern Gulf of Mexico. At the surface, a moist airmass is
located across far southern Florida where dewpoints are in the lower
to mid 60s F. Earlier surface heating increased instability to
around 1000 J/kg in the Miami area. Due to this, isolated
thunderstorms will be possible near the southeast Florida coast this
evening into the overnight. However, no severe weather is forecast.
Elsewhere across the continental U.S. thunderstorm development
should not take place through tonight.
