...Synopsis...
An elongated, positive-tilt upper trough will extend from the upper
Great Lakes to Texas during the day, and will pivot east toward the
Appalachians by 12Z Tue with tail end extending into the northern
Gulf of Mexico. Meanwhile, a surface ridge will remain over the
Rockies, with cool air pushing farther south across the Gulf Coast
States. The resulting offshore flow will maintain stable conditions
across this region. Although a band of midlevel moisture and lift
may affect parts of Florida overnight, forecast soundings indicate
little to no elevated CAPE to support lightning.
