   ...NO THUNDERSTORM AREAS FORECAST...

   ...SUMMARY...
Thunderstorms are not forecast across the contiguous Unites States
   through tonight.

   ...Synopsis...
Intermittent thunderstorms have been ongoing west of the Florida
Keys this afternoon. This activity is expected to weaken with
eastward extent and any remaining thunderstorms are expected to
remain south of the Keys. Some showers have developed across south
Florida, but warm mid-level temperatures and weak lapse rates are
limiting updraft strength/depth. Therefore, no lightning is
anticipated from these showers this afternoon/evening.

.PREV DISCUSSION... /ISSUED 1030 AM CST Tue Feb 08 2022/

   ...Synopsis/Discussion...
A southern-stream shortwave trough will continue eastward over the
Gulf of Mexico and coastal Southeast States through tonight. A few
thunderstorms are occurring today over the eastern Gulf of Mexico
near a quasi-stationary front, where occasional thunderstorms will
remain a possibility into tonight. It is likely that these storms
will tend to remain just west/south of the Florida Keys.
