Multiple upper troughs will progress eastward across the central and
eastern states on Tuesday. At the surface, a prior cold front
passage will limit modest low-level moisture to parts of south FL
and the Keys. Poor mid-level lapse rates are evident in forecast
soundings across this region. This should limit the potential for
sufficient instability to support convection capable of producing
lightning. Accordingly, thunderstorms are not expected across the
CONUS on Tuesday.
