Thunderstorms appear unlikely on Tuesday across the Lower 48 states.
...Synopsis...
An upper level ridge will persist across the western CONUS with some
troughing over the Northeast.
Cool/dry conditions will be present across much of the CONUS which
will limit the chance for lightning. Some convection may occur off
the eastern coast of Florida, but warm mid-level temperatures should
limit updraft strength and make lightning unlikely. In addition,
some weak surface based instability may develop across northwest and
northern Washington. However, forecast soundings show this
instability will likely remain too shallow for thunderstorms.
