   SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WATCH NUMBER 396
   NWS STORM PREDICTION CENTER NORMAN OK
   945 PM CDT WED JUN 13 2007
   
   THE NWS STORM PREDICTION CENTER HAS ISSUED A
   SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WATCH FOR PORTIONS OF 
   
          SOUTHWESTERN THROUGH CENTRAL OKLAHOMA
   
   EFFECTIVE THIS WEDNESDAY NIGHT AND THURSDAY MORNING FROM 945 PM
   UNTIL 300 AM CDT.
   
   HAIL TO 1 INCH IN DIAMETER...THUNDERSTORM WIND GUSTS TO 70
   MPH...AND DANGEROUS LIGHTNING ARE POSSIBLE IN THESE AREAS.
   
   THE SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WATCH AREA IS APPROXIMATELY ALONG AND 50
   STATUTE MILES NORTH AND SOUTH OF A LINE FROM 50 MILES WEST
   SOUTHWEST OF CLINTON OKLAHOMA TO 35 MILES SOUTH SOUTHEAST OF
   PONCA CITY OKLAHOMA.  FOR A COMPLETE DEPICTION OF THE WATCH SEE

   REMEMBER...A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WATCH MEANS CONDITIONS ARE
   FAVORABLE FOR SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS IN AND CLOSE TO THE WATCH
   AREA. PERSONS IN THESE AREAS SHOULD BE ON THE LOOKOUT FOR
   THREATENING WEATHER CONDITIONS AND LISTEN FOR LATER STATEMENTS
   AND POSSIBLE WARNINGS. SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS CAN AND OCCASIONALLY
   DO PRODUCE TORNADOES.

   DISCUSSION...MCS WITH EMBEDDED SUSTAINED STORMS/MARGINAL SUPERCELLS
   EXPECTED TO PERSIST THROUGH EARLY THURSDAY ACROSS WRN/CNTRL
   OK...WHERE MODERATE SLY LLJ WILL IMPINGE ON SW-NE ORIENTED GUST
   FRONT.  BOUNDARY WILL DRIFT ONLY SLOWLY ESEWD...LARGELY PARALLEL TO
   MEAN FLOW.  COUPLED WITH PRESENCE OF CONSIDERABLE SFC-BASED CAPE /ON
   THE ORDER OF 2500 J PER KG/ AND MINIMAL CIN...POTENTIAL WILL EXIST
   FOR WET MICROBURSTS ...ISOLATED LARGE HAIL AND PERHAPS A BRIEF
   TORNADO AS STORMS MOVE/DEVELOP ALONG THE BOUNDARY.
   
   AVIATION...A FEW SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS WITH HAIL SURFACE AND ALOFT
   TO 1 INCH. EXTREME TURBULENCE AND SURFACE WIND GUSTS TO 60 KNOTS.
   A FEW CUMULONIMBI WITH MAXIMUM TOPS TO 500. MEAN STORM MOTION
