   Tornado Watch Number 148
   NWS Storm Prediction Center Norman OK
   535 PM CDT Tue May 7 2019

   The NWS Storm Prediction Center has issued a

   * Tornado Watch for portions of 
     Western and north-central Oklahoma

   * Effective this Tuesday afternoon and evening from 535 PM until
     1100 PM CDT.

   * Primary threats include...
     A few tornadoes likely with a couple intense tornadoes possible
     Scattered damaging winds and isolated significant gusts to 75
       mph likely
     Scattered large hail and isolated very large hail events to 3
       inches in diameter likely

   SUMMARY...Multiple supercells are expected to develop from the
   eastern Texas Panhandle and western Oklahoma during the early
   evening. All hazards are probable. Towards late evening, an
   extensive line of storms is expected to consolidate across western
   Oklahoma.

   The tornado watch area is approximately along and 55 statute miles
   east and west of a line from 5 miles south southeast of Altus OK to
   30 miles west northwest of Enid OK. For a complete depiction of the

   PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

   REMEMBER...A Tornado Watch means conditions are favorable for
   tornadoes and severe thunderstorms in and close to the watch
   area. Persons in these areas should be on the lookout for
   threatening weather conditions and listen for later statements
   and possible warnings.

   AVIATION...Tornadoes and a few severe thunderstorms with hail
   surface and aloft to 3 inches. Extreme turbulence and surface wind
   gusts to 65 knots. A few cumulonimbi with maximum tops to 550. Mean
   storm motion vector 23025.
