The NWS Storm Prediction Center has issued a
* Severe Thunderstorm Watch for portions of
central Montana
* Effective this Friday afternoon and evening from 220 PM until
800 PM MDT.
* Primary threats include...
Scattered large hail and isolated very large hail events to 2
inches in diameter possible
Scattered damaging wind gusts to 70 mph possible
SUMMARY...An isolated supercell thunderstorm appears likely to
maintain strength several more hours, and may impact the Great Falls
area between 3 PM and 5 PM MDT, with a continuing risk for severe
hail and strong surface gusts.
The severe thunderstorm watch area is approximately along and 55
statute miles east and west of a line from 35 miles north of Great
Falls MT to 20 miles south southwest of Lewistown MT. For a complete

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
REMEMBER...A Severe Thunderstorm Watch means conditions are

warnings. Severe thunderstorms can and occasionally do produce
