Scattered damaging wind gusts to 70 mph likely Scattered large hail events to 1.5 inches in diameter possible SUMMARY...A fast-moving line of thunderstorms near Charlotte NC will track eastward across the watch area this afternoon and early evening. Damaging winds will be possible along the leading edge of the storms. The severe thunderstorm watch area is approximately along and 60 statute miles north and south of a line from 55 miles west southwest of Southern Pines NC to 20 miles east northeast of Jacksonville NC.
