The NWS Storm Prediction Center has issued a
* Severe Thunderstorm Watch for portions of
Parts of the Texas Hill Country
* Effective this Wednesday morning from 225 AM until 800 AM CST.
* Primary threats include...
Scattered damaging wind gusts to 70 mph possible
Scattered large hail events to 1.5 inches in diameter possible
A tornado or two possible
SUMMARY...Thunderstorms along a cold front will likely persist for
the next few hours, in advance of a strong upper storm system
approaching from the Big Bend. The storm environment favors a mix
of supercell and linear structures, with the potential for a few
embedded circulations and perhaps a tornado or two. However, the
main threats are expected to be large hail and damaging winds
through the morning.
The severe thunderstorm watch area is approximately along and 55
statute miles east and west of a line from 70 miles east northeast
of Junction TX to 40 miles east southeast of Del Rio TX. For a

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
REMEMBER...A Severe Thunderstorm Watch means conditions are
favorable for severe thunderstorms in and close to the watch area.

weather conditions and listen for later statements and possible
warnings. Severe thunderstorms can and occasionally do produce
tornadoes.
