The NWS Storm Prediction Center has issued a
* Tornado Watch for portions of
central and western Arkansas
northwest Louisiana
eastern Oklahoma
north central and northeast Texas
* Effective this Thursday afternoon and evening from 220 PM until
1000 PM CDT.
* Primary threats include...
A few tornadoes possible
Scattered damaging wind gusts to 70 mph likely
Scattered large hail and isolated very large hail events to 2
inches in diameter possible
SUMMARY...Storms are expected to intensify from eastern Oklahoma and
north central Texas and continue east into the lower Mississippi
Valley. Damaging wind, a few tornadoes and large hail will be
possible with the stronger storms.
The tornado watch area is approximately along and 120 statute miles
east and west of a line from 35 miles northeast of Flippin AR to 35
miles south southeast of Dallas TX. For a complete depiction of the

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
REMEMBER...A Tornado Watch means conditions are favorable for
tornadoes and severe thunderstorms in and close to the watch

and possible warnings.

surface and aloft to 2 inches. Extreme turbulence and surface wind
