The NWS Storm Prediction Center has issued a
* Severe Thunderstorm Watch for portions of
Southern Kansas
Northern Oklahoma
* Effective this Monday night and Tuesday morning from 1150 PM
until 800 AM CDT.
* Primary threats include...
Scattered large hail likely with isolated very large hail events
to 2 inches in diameter possible
Isolated damaging wind gusts to 70 mph possible
SUMMARY...Thunderstorms are forecast to develop/strengthen across
parts of northwestern OK and southwestern KS the next few hours.
Large hail will be the main threat early, and damaging wind may
occur sporadically as the storms cluster and accelerate eastward
near the KS/OK border.
The severe thunderstorm watch area is approximately along and 55
statute miles north and south of a line from 45 miles south of Dodge
City KS to 55 miles east of Bartlesville OK. For a complete
