   Tornado Watch Number 78
   NWS Storm Prediction Center Norman OK
   220 PM EDT Tue Mar 31 2020

   The NWS Storm Prediction Center has issued a

   * Tornado Watch for portions of 
     North Florida
     Southeast Georgia
     Southern South Carolina
     Coastal Waters

   * Effective this Tuesday afternoon and evening from 220 PM until
     900 PM EDT.

   * Primary threats include...
     A few tornadoes likely
     Scattered damaging wind gusts to 70 mph possible

   SUMMARY...Severe thunderstorms over southwest Georgia and the
   Florida Panhandle will track eastward this afternoon and early
   evening.  Damaging winds and a few tornadoes will continue to be
   possible in the stronger cells.

   The tornado watch area is approximately along and 70 statute miles
   east and west of a line from 35 miles northwest of Charleston SC to
   40 miles south southeast of Tallahassee FL. For a complete depiction

   PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

   REMEMBER...A Tornado Watch means conditions are favorable for
   tornadoes and severe thunderstorms in and close to the watch
   area. Persons in these areas should be on the lookout for
   threatening weather conditions and listen for later statements
   and possible warnings.

   AVIATION...Tornadoes and a few severe thunderstorms with hail
   surface and aloft to 0.5 inches. Extreme turbulence and surface wind
   gusts to 60 knots. A few cumulonimbi with maximum tops to 450. Mean
   storm motion vector 27040.
