   Tornado Watch Number 93
   NWS Storm Prediction Center Norman OK
   1050 PM EDT Wed Apr 8 2020

   The NWS Storm Prediction Center has issued a

   * Tornado Watch for portions of 
     Eastern Kentucky
     Southeast Ohio
     Extreme Southwest Virginia
     Central and Southern West Virginia

   * Effective this Wednesday night and Thursday morning from 1050
     PM until 400 AM EDT.

   * Primary threats include...
     A couple tornadoes possible
     Widespread damaging wind gusts to 70 mph likely
     Scattered large hail and isolated very large hail events to 2
       inches in diameter possible

   SUMMARY...A fast-moving squall line over Kentucky and Ohio will race
   across the watch area overnight, posing a risk of damaging winds and
   some hail.  A few storms in this area could also produce brief
   tornadoes.

   The tornado watch area is approximately along and 70 statute miles
   east and west of a line from 35 miles south southeast of London KY
   to 55 miles north of Charleston WV. For a complete depiction of the

   PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

   REMEMBER...A Tornado Watch means conditions are favorable for
   tornadoes and severe thunderstorms in and close to the watch
   area. Persons in these areas should be on the lookout for
   threatening weather conditions and listen for later statements
   and possible warnings.

   AVIATION...Tornadoes and a few severe thunderstorms with hail
   surface and aloft to 2 inches. Extreme turbulence and surface wind
   gusts to 60 knots. A few cumulonimbi with maximum tops to 450. Mean
   storm motion vector 28035.
