The NWS Storm Prediction Center has issued a
* Tornado Watch for portions of
Central Texas
* Effective this Sunday morning from 200 AM until 800 AM CDT.
* Primary threats include...
A few tornadoes likely with a couple intense tornadoes possible
Widespread large hail and isolated very large hail events to 2.5
inches in diameter likely
Scattered damaging wind gusts to 70 mph likely
SUMMARY...Clusters of supercells will likely persist through the
overnight hours, with the potential for storm mergers and upscale
growth into a larger convective system. The storm environment will
favor a threat for tornadoes and very large hail with the
supercells, and some increase in the damaging wind threat once
upscale growth occurs later this morning.
The tornado watch area is approximately along and 65 statute miles
north and south of a line from 45 miles north northwest of Del Rio
TX to 30 miles east southeast of Temple TX. For a complete depiction

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
REMEMBER...A Tornado Watch means conditions are favorable for
tornadoes and severe thunderstorms in and close to the watch
area. Persons in these areas should be on the lookout for
threatening weather conditions and listen for later statements
and possible warnings.

watch number 102. Watch number 102 will not be in effect after
200 AM CDT.
