The NWS Storm Prediction Center has issued a
* Tornado Watch for portions of
Florida Panhandle
Southern Georgia
Coastal Waters
* Effective this Thursday afternoon and evening from 245 PM until
900 PM CDT.
* Primary threats include...
A few tornadoes likely
Scattered damaging wind gusts to 70 mph likely
Isolated large hail events to 1.5 inches in diameter possible
SUMMARY...A line of fast-moving thunderstorms over the western
Florida panhandle will track eastward across the watch area this
afternoon and evening. Damaging winds appear to be the main threat,
but the potential for an isolated tornado or two remains in the most
intense cells.
The tornado watch area is approximately along and 50 statute miles
north and south of a line from 40 miles west of Panama City FL to 40
miles south of Valdosta GA. For a complete depiction of the watch

an increased threat for a particular event.
