The NWS Storm Prediction Center has issued a
* Severe Thunderstorm Watch for portions of
Southeast Kentucky
A small part of northeast Tennessee
Extreme southwest Virginia
* Effective this Sunday evening from 650 PM until 1100 PM EDT.
* Primary threats include...
Scattered damaging wind gusts to 70 mph possible
Isolated large hail events to 1 inch in diameter possible
SUMMARY...A well-developed thunderstorm complex with a history of
damaging winds across northern middle Tennessee is expected to
develop east-northeastward this evening toward southeast Kentucky.
Storm mergers could help maintain the threat of damaging winds and
isolated large hail for a few more hours, before the storms weaken
by early tonight.
The severe thunderstorm watch area is approximately along and 50
statute miles north and south of a line from 50 miles west southwest
of London KY to 35 miles east southeast of Jackson KY. For a
