The NWS Storm Prediction Center has issued a
* Severe Thunderstorm Watch for portions of
Southwestern Arkansas
Northwestern Louisiana
Extreme southeastern Oklahoma
Northeast and extreme north-central Texas
* Effective this Friday morning from 305 AM until 1000 AM CDT.
* Primary threats include...
Isolated damaging wind gusts to 70 mph possible
Isolated large hail events to 1.5 inches in diameter possible
SUMMARY...A well-organized convective complex, with bow echo and a
history of intermittently severe wind gusts, will proceed
southeastward into the Arklatex region through the remainder of the
morning. Sporadic severe gusts remain the main threat. Isolated
large hail still may occur.
The severe thunderstorm watch area is approximately along and 90
statute miles either side of a line from 45 miles north of Paris TX
to 50 miles south of El Dorado AR. For a complete depiction of the

REMEMBER...A Severe Thunderstorm Watch means conditions are
favorable for severe thunderstorms in and close to the watch area.

an increased threat for a particular event.
