   URGENT - IMMEDIATE BROADCAST REQUESTED
   Severe Thunderstorm Watch Number 215
   NWS Storm Prediction Center Norman OK
   1200 AM CDT Sun May 24 2020

   The NWS Storm Prediction Center has issued a

   * Severe Thunderstorm Watch for portions of 
     Extreme northwest Iowa
     Parts of central and northeast Nebraska
     Southeast South Dakota

   * Effective this Sunday morning from Midnight until 600 AM CDT.

   * Primary threats include...
     Scattered damaging winds likely with isolated significant gusts
       to 75 mph possible
     Scattered large hail and isolated very large hail events to 2
       inches in diameter possible
     A tornado or two possible

   SUMMARY...A line of storms in central Nebraska will gradually
   overtake a separate cluster of supercells, which should encourage
   the development of more pronounced bowing segments within the line. 
   While damaging winds and hail will be the main threats, there will
   be a chance for a tornado or two with the complex storm interactions
   in the next two hours or so in central Nebraska.

   The severe thunderstorm watch area is approximately along and 70
   statute miles east and west of a line from 45 miles north northwest
   of Yankton SD to 60 miles west southwest of Columbus NE. For a

   PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

   REMEMBER...A Severe Thunderstorm Watch means conditions are
   favorable for severe thunderstorms in and close to the watch area.
   Persons in these areas should be on the lookout for threatening
   weather conditions and listen for later statements and possible
   warnings. Severe thunderstorms can and occasionally do produce
   tornadoes.

   AVIATION...A few severe thunderstorms with hail surface and aloft to
   2 inches. Extreme turbulence and surface wind gusts to 65 knots. A
   few cumulonimbi with maximum tops to 550. Mean storm motion vector
   25030.
