The NWS Storm Prediction Center has issued a
* Severe Thunderstorm Watch for portions of
Central and eastern Oregon
Southern Washington
* Effective this Saturday morning and evening from 1150 AM until
700 PM PDT.
* Primary threats include...
Scattered damaging winds and isolated significant gusts to 85
mph likely
Scattered large hail and isolated very large hail events to 2
inches in diameter possible
A tornado or two possible
SUMMARY...Multiple supercells will likely initiate over
south-central Oregon and spread rapidly north-northeast towards the
western Columbia Basin into early evening. Large hail and a tornado
or two will be possible in the first few hours, with damaging winds
becoming the primary overall threat.
The severe thunderstorm watch area is approximately along and 60
statute miles east and west of a line from 90 miles south of Redmond
OR to 85 miles northeast of The Dalles OR. For a complete depiction

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
REMEMBER...A Severe Thunderstorm Watch means conditions are
favorable for severe thunderstorms in and close to the watch area.

warnings. Severe thunderstorms can and occasionally do produce
tornadoes.
