The NWS Storm Prediction Center has issued a
* Severe Thunderstorm Watch for portions of
eastern Montana
southwestern North Dakota
parts of western and north-central Nebraska
western and central South Dakota
* Effective this Saturday afternoon and Sunday morning from 545
PM until 100 AM CDT.
* Primary threats include...
Widespread damaging winds expected with isolated significant
gusts to 80 mph likely
Scattered large hail likely with isolated very large hail events
to 2 inches in diameter possible
A tornado or two possible
SUMMARY...A fast-moving band of thunderstorms moving quickly
northeastward across eastern portions of Colorado and Wyoming will
continue, spreading across the WW area over the next several hours.
Along with potential for hail, widespread damaging winds --
including locally destructive wind gusts -- are expected.
The severe thunderstorm watch area is approximately along and 115
statute miles north and south of a line from 40 miles northwest of
Miles City MT to 55 miles northeast of Valentine NE. For a complete
