The NWS Storm Prediction Center has issued a
* Severe Thunderstorm Watch for portions of
Eastern Kentucky
* Effective this Wednesday afternoon and evening from 525 PM
until 1000 PM EDT.
* Primary threats include...
Scattered damaging wind gusts to 70 mph possible
Isolated large hail events to 1.5 inches in diameter possible
SUMMARY...Scattered thunderstorms are forming along a cold front
moving eastward across central Kentucky. Some increase in storm
coverage/intensity is expected in the next few hours, and the
stronger storms will be capable of producing damaging winds and
isolated large hail.
The severe thunderstorm watch area is approximately along and 40
statute miles east and west of a line from 70 miles north of Jackson
KY to 20 miles south southeast of London KY. For a complete
