The NWS Storm Prediction Center has issued a
* Severe Thunderstorm Watch for portions of
Southeast Montana
Southwest North Dakota
Western South Dakota
Northeast Wyoming
* Effective this Monday afternoon and evening from 245 PM until
1100 PM MDT.
* Primary threats include...
Scattered large hail likely with isolated very large hail events
to 3 inches in diameter possible
Scattered damaging winds and isolated significant gusts to 75
mph possible
A tornado or two possible
SUMMARY...Widely scattered thunderstorms will increase and intensify
across the region through late afternoon/early evening. Large hail,
perhaps very large, will be possibly with supercells, particularly
across southeast Montana, far northeast Wyoming into western South
Dakota. A tornado cannot be ruled out. Storms may merge into
southeastward-moving clusters by evening with severe hail/wind
continuing.
The severe thunderstorm watch area is approximately along and 90
statute miles north and south of a line from 85 miles west southwest
of Miles City MT to 15 miles northeast of Philip SD. For a complete
