   Severe Thunderstorm Watch Number 366
   NWS Storm Prediction Center Norman OK
   335 PM CDT Mon Jul 13 2020

   The NWS Storm Prediction Center has issued a

   * Severe Thunderstorm Watch for portions of 
     Eastern Colorado
     Western Kansas
     Western and central Nebraska

   * Effective this Monday afternoon from 335 PM until Midnight CDT.

   * Primary threats include...
     Scattered damaging winds and isolated significant gusts to 80
       mph likely
     Scattered large hail and isolated very large hail events to 3
       inches in diameter possible

   SUMMARY...Thunderstorms developing and organizing off the mountains
   and foothills initially, along with additional storms to their east,
   should intensify to severe levels through the remainder of the
   afternoon into evening.  Large to very large hail and severe gusts
   are possible.  One or two dominant bands or clusters are expected to
   evolve from this activity and sweep eastward over the watch area,
   with severe winds (some gusts potentially reaching 65+ kt or
   hurricane force).

   The severe thunderstorm watch area is approximately along and 105
   statute miles east and west of a line from 20 miles south of
   Springfield CO to 25 miles west northwest of Valentine NE. For a

   PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

   REMEMBER...A Severe Thunderstorm Watch means conditions are
   favorable for severe thunderstorms in and close to the watch area.
   Persons in these areas should be on the lookout for threatening
   weather conditions and listen for later statements and possible
   warnings. Severe thunderstorms can and occasionally do produce
   tornadoes.

   AVIATION...A few severe thunderstorms with hail surface and aloft to
   3 inches. Extreme turbulence and surface wind gusts to 70 knots. A
   few cumulonimbi with maximum tops to 550. Mean storm motion vector
   27035.
