The NWS Storm Prediction Center has issued a
* Severe Thunderstorm Watch for portions of
Southeast Colorado
Oklahoma Panhandle
Texas Panhandle
* Effective this Tuesday afternoon and evening from 225 PM until
900 PM MDT.
* Primary threats include...
Scattered large hail and isolated very large hail events to 3
inches in diameter possible
Isolated significant damaging wind gusts to 75 mph possible
A tornado or two possible
SUMMARY...Widely scattered storms including supercells will continue
to develop and intensify across from the Interstate 25 corridor
east-southeastward across the southeast Colorado Plains through late
afternoon, with other more isolated high-based development along the
New Mexico and Texas/Oklahoma border vicinity. Large hail can be
expected with the most intense storms, with the potential for
damaging winds also increasing by early evening. A tornado cannot be
ruled out across southeast Colorado.
The severe thunderstorm watch area is approximately along and 85
statute miles north and south of a line from 10 miles south
southwest of Colorado Springs CO to 30 miles east of Springfield CO.

tornadoes.
