The NWS Storm Prediction Center has issued a
* Severe Thunderstorm Watch for portions of
North Central Indiana
* Effective this Tuesday afternoon from 125 PM until 500 PM EDT.
* Primary threats include...
Scattered damaging wind gusts to 70 mph likely
Isolated large hail events to 1 inch in diameter possible
SUMMARY...A bowing cluster of thunderstorms will track
east-northeastward across the watch area this afternoon. Locally
damaging winds are possible along the leading edge of the storms.
The severe thunderstorm watch area is approximately along and 30
statute miles north and south of a line from 35 miles west southwest
of Lafayette IN to 80 miles east of Lafayette IN. For a complete

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
REMEMBER...A Severe Thunderstorm Watch means conditions are
favorable for severe thunderstorms in and close to the watch area.
Persons in these areas should be on the lookout for threatening
weather conditions and listen for later statements and possible
warnings. Severe thunderstorms can and occasionally do produce
tornadoes.

1 inch. Extreme turbulence and surface wind gusts to 60 knots. A few
