   URGENT - IMMEDIATE BROADCAST REQUESTED
   Severe Thunderstorm Watch Number 443
   NWS Storm Prediction Center Norman OK
   230 PM CDT Sun Aug 16 2020

   The NWS Storm Prediction Center has issued a

   * Severe Thunderstorm Watch for portions of 
     North-central Kansas
     Southern to eastern Nebraska

   * Effective this Sunday afternoon and evening from 230 PM until
     900 PM CDT.

   * Primary threats include...
     Scattered large hail and isolated very large hail events to 3
       inches in diameter likely
     Scattered damaging winds and isolated significant gusts to 75
       mph possible
     A tornado or two possible

   SUMMARY...Multiple supercells are expected to develop along a weak
   frontal boundary. Setup is most supportive of large hail initially,
   some of which should be significant. A cluster or two may develop
   southward with a risk for damaging winds as well.

   The severe thunderstorm watch area is approximately along and 65
   statute miles north and south of a line from 30 miles east southeast
   of Columbus NE to 65 miles west southwest of Kearney NE. For a

   PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

   REMEMBER...A Severe Thunderstorm Watch means conditions are
   favorable for severe thunderstorms in and close to the watch area.
   Persons in these areas should be on the lookout for threatening
   weather conditions and listen for later statements and possible
   warnings. Severe thunderstorms can and occasionally do produce
   tornadoes.

   AVIATION...A few severe thunderstorms with hail surface and aloft to
   3 inches. Extreme turbulence and surface wind gusts to 65 knots. A
   few cumulonimbi with maximum tops to 550. Mean storm motion vector
   33030.
