The NWS Storm Prediction Center has issued a
* Severe Thunderstorm Watch for portions of
Southwest Kentucky
Northern Mississippi
Western Tennessee
* Effective this Tuesday evening from 610 PM until 1100 PM CDT.
* Primary threats include...
Scattered damaging wind gusts to 70 mph possible
A tornado or two possible
SUMMARY...Clusters of storms and possibly a supercell or two will
continue moving east-northeastward across the region this evening.
Damaging winds are the primary hazard, but a tornado risk cannot be
ruled out.
The severe thunderstorm watch area is approximately along and 35
statute miles east and west of a line from 75 miles northeast of
Dyersburg TN to 65 miles south southwest of Memphis TN. For a

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
REMEMBER...A Severe Thunderstorm Watch means conditions are
favorable for severe thunderstorms in and close to the watch area.

warnings. Severe thunderstorms can and occasionally do produce
tornadoes.
