The NWS Storm Prediction Center has issued a
* Severe Thunderstorm Watch for portions of
Central and Eastern Iowa
Northern Illinois
* Effective this Sunday morning from 255 AM until 900 AM CDT.
* Primary threats include...
Scattered large hail and isolated very large hail events to 2
inches in diameter possible
Scattered damaging wind gusts to 70 mph possible
SUMMARY...Multiple rounds of storms will persist overnight across
the region, with a more organized linear-type complex potentially
evolving through the early morning hours. Severe hail and locally
damaging wind will be possible as storms steadily progress
southeastward through the early morning hours.
The severe thunderstorm watch area is approximately along and 60
statute miles north and south of a line from 15 miles north of Fort
Dodge IA to 60 miles east of Moline IL. For a complete depiction of

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
REMEMBER...A Severe Thunderstorm Watch means conditions are
favorable for severe thunderstorms in and close to the watch area.

warnings. Severe thunderstorms can and occasionally do produce

an increased threat for a particular event.
