The NWS Storm Prediction Center has issued a
* Severe Thunderstorm Watch for portions of
Central Lower Michigan
Lake Huron
Lake Michigan
* Effective this Sunday night and Monday morning from 940 PM
until 300 AM EDT.
* Primary threats include...
Scattered large hail and isolated very large hail events to 2
inches in diameter possible
Isolated damaging wind gusts to 70 mph possible
SUMMARY...Scattered thunderstorms are increasing in coverage and
intensity over portions of Lake Michigan and Lower Michigan. This
activity may become occasionally severe, with the potential for
large hail and locally gusty/damaging winds.
The severe thunderstorm watch area is approximately along and 55
statute miles north and south of a line from 40 miles northwest of
Muskegon MI to 25 miles north northeast of Bad Axe MI. For a

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
REMEMBER...A Severe Thunderstorm Watch means conditions are
favorable for severe thunderstorms in and close to the watch area.

weather conditions and listen for later statements and possible
warnings. Severe thunderstorms can and occasionally do produce
tornadoes.
