   Tornado Watch Number 508
   NWS Storm Prediction Center Norman OK
   515 PM CST Sat Nov 14 2020

   The NWS Storm Prediction Center has issued a

   * Tornado Watch for portions of 
     Northwestern and north central Arkansas
     Extreme southeastern Kansas
     Much of central and southern Missouri
     Extreme northeastern Oklahoma

   * Effective this Saturday afternoon from 515 PM until Midnight
     CST.

   * Primary threats include...
     A couple tornadoes possible
     Scattered damaging wind gusts to 70 mph possible
     Isolated large hail events to 1 inch in diameter possible

   SUMMARY...Thunderstorm development is underway in several bands
   along and ahead of a cold front and dryline from northeastern
   Oklahoma and southeastern Kansas into western Missouri.  The storm
   environment will favor a mix of supercells and line segments capable
   of producing a couple of tornadoes, damaging gusts, and isolated
   large hail.  The primary threat will be confined to the western part
   of the watch through about 9 pm CST, and in the eastern parts of the
   watch from 9 pm to midnight.

   The tornado watch area is approximately along and 85 statute miles
   east and west of a line from 45 miles northwest of Columbia MO to 40
   miles southeast of Fayetteville AR. For a complete depiction of the

   PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

   REMEMBER...A Tornado Watch means conditions are favorable for
   tornadoes and severe thunderstorms in and close to the watch
   area. Persons in these areas should be on the lookout for
   threatening weather conditions and listen for later statements
   and possible warnings.

   AVIATION...Tornadoes and a few severe thunderstorms with hail
   surface and aloft to 1 inch. Extreme turbulence and surface wind
   gusts to 60 knots. A few cumulonimbi with maximum tops to 450. Mean
   storm motion vector 24050.
