The NWS Storm Prediction Center has issued a
* Severe Thunderstorm Watch for portions of
Western, central, and northern Oklahoma and the eastern Oklahoma
Panhandle
Extreme eastern Texas Panhandle
* Effective this Tuesday afternoon and evening from 145 PM until
900 PM CST.
* Primary threats include...
Scattered large hail and isolated very large hail events to 2
inches in diameter likely
Scattered damaging wind gusts to 70 mph likely
A tornado or two possible
SUMMARY...Scattered severe thunderstorms are forecast this afternoon
into this evening from parts of the eastern Texas Panhandle into
western and northern Oklahoma. Large hail, damaging gusts, and a
tornado are possible with the stronger storms.
The severe thunderstorm watch area is approximately along and 60
statute miles north and south of a line from 80 miles northwest of
Clinton OK to 30 miles north of Chandler OK. For a complete

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
REMEMBER...A Severe Thunderstorm Watch means conditions are
favorable for severe thunderstorms in and close to the watch area.

warnings. Severe thunderstorms can and occasionally do produce
tornadoes.
