The NWS Storm Prediction Center has issued a
* Severe Thunderstorm Watch for portions of
Western Arkansas
Northwest Louisiana
Southeast Oklahoma
Northeast Texas
* Effective this Tuesday night and Wednesday morning from 830 PM
until 200 AM CST.
* Primary threats include...
Scattered damaging wind gusts to 70 mph possible
Isolated large hail events to 1.5 inches in diameter possible
A tornado or two possible
SUMMARY...A line of thunderstorms over southeast Oklahoma and
northeast Texas continues to intensify this evening, with a few
storms reaching severe limits. Conditions suggest this activity
could continue to pose a risk of damaging wind gusts and hail for a
few more hours across the watch area. An isolated tornado cannot be
ruled out.
The severe thunderstorm watch area is approximately along and 70
statute miles east and west of a line from 30 miles north northeast
of Fort Smith AR to 85 miles south of Paris TX. For a complete

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
REMEMBER...A Severe Thunderstorm Watch means conditions are
favorable for severe thunderstorms in and close to the watch area.
Persons in these areas should be on the lookout for threatening
weather conditions and listen for later statements and possible
warnings. Severe thunderstorms can and occasionally do produce
tornadoes.
