The NWS Storm Prediction Center has issued a

* Severe Thunderstorm Watch for portions of 
  Southeast Texas

* Effective this Monday night and Tuesday morning from 1100 PM
  until 300 AM CDT.

* Primary threats include...
  Scattered damaging wind gusts to 65 mph possible
  A tornado or two possible

SUMMARY...Forward-propagating portion of a QLCS may continue to
produce strong to localized severe gusts before weakening in the
early morning.

The severe thunderstorm watch area is approximately along and 40
statute miles east and west of a line from 35 miles north northeast
of Lufkin TX to 75 miles south of Lufkin TX. For a complete

REMEMBER...A Severe Thunderstorm Watch means conditions are
favorable for severe thunderstorms in and close to the watch area.
Persons in these areas should be on the lookout for threatening
weather conditions and listen for later statements and possible
warnings. Severe thunderstorms can and occasionally do produce
tornadoes.
