The NWS Storm Prediction Center has issued a
* Severe Thunderstorm Watch for portions of
North Central Minnesota
* Effective this Thursday night from 710 PM until Midnight CDT.
* Primary threats include...
Widespread damaging wind gusts to 70 mph likely
Scattered large hail events to 1.5 inches in diameter possible
SUMMARY...A fast-moving bowing line of intense storms will track
northeastward into the watch area this evening. Locally damaging
winds are expected with the most intense storms.
The severe thunderstorm watch area is approximately along and 40
statute miles north and south of a line from 50 miles northwest of
Brainerd MN to 90 miles east of Brainerd MN. For a complete

REMEMBER...A Severe Thunderstorm Watch means conditions are
favorable for severe thunderstorms in and close to the watch area.
