   Mesoscale Discussion 0626
NWS Storm Prediction Center Norman OK
   1122 AM CDT Mon May 13 2019

   Areas affected...Southeast FL Peninsula

   Concerning...Severe potential...Watch possible

   Valid 131622Z - 131815Z

   Probability of Watch Issuance...40 percent

SUMMARY...Strong thunderstorms are expected to increase in coverage
along the southeast FL Peninsula over the next few hours. Gusty
winds and some hail are possible.

DISCUSSION...Strong boundary-layer heating is contributing to
steepening low-level lapse rates (7.5-8 C/km) across south FL.
Boundary-layer thermals are rapidly deepening from northwest of MIA
to western Palm Beach County. Southwesterly mean flow should help
focus convection along the Atlantic Coastal region over the next few
hours as ongoing activity propagates east. Will continue to monitor
for possible ww as the most robust activity could produce wind/hail.
